This is your true starting point – not the goals shouting from social media, not the "new year, new you" promises crowding your inbox, but this moment of connection with yourself.
I've noticed how often we override our body's quiet wisdom in January. That familiar tension creeping into your shoulders isn't just stress – it's your inner compass signaling that perhaps the path forward isn't about adding more, but about listening deeper. When was the last time you asked your body what it needs, rather than telling it what to become?
This month, we're taking a different approach. Instead of crafting an ambitious plan for transformation, we're going to practice the art of noticing. Notice how your breath changes when you think about your goals. Notice where you feel expansion or contraction when considering different choices. Your body holds the blueprint for sustainable change – we just need to learn its language.
🗡️ Coaching Tip: Before writing down any goals, spend three days tracking your energy. When do you feel most alive? When do you feel depleted? These patterns reveal what your system truly needs right now.
Action Steps:
Morning Body Dialogue: Start each day with a 3-minute check-in. Place your hands on your belly, breathe deeply, and ask: "What do you need today?" The first answer that emerges – whether it's rest, movement, or connection – is your compass for that day.
Energy Tracking: Create a simple note in your phone with three columns: Time, Activity, and Body Sensation. Track this for three key moments each day. Look for patterns without trying to change them yet.
Permission Slips: Write yourself three small permission slips this week. "I give myself permission to..." (rest when others are hustling, say no to goals that aren't mine, trust my pace). Place them where you'll see them daily.
